This coaching site is driven by our coaches.
We want to make this site the one-stop resource for people trying to sort through all the conflicting information out there about coaching and coaches.
We want this site to showcase you and your coaching practice.
To do this we need your involvement. Making sure your profile is complete is the first step. Submitting an article to our FAQ section and our blog (both coming soon) is another way. The bigger our site is, the happier Google is and the higher we are in searches. And the more articles you submit, the more you will stand out from other coaches on this site when a search engine like Google examines our pages (in other words, you will be higher in the search results because each article you submit will link back to your profile). This in turn will make those links to other websites (including your own website) more important as far as Google is concerned and push those sites / pages up in the rankings.
The Top Recommended Coaches Project was started as a way for the best coaches in the world to connect and help each other.
It started with a LinkedIn Group and now includes this website.
Our mission is a three fold: (a) to provide a directory of the best coaches in the world, (b) to connect the best coaches in the world with each other for peer support and business growth, and (c), to create educated, savvy consumers of coaching services.
We recognize there is no place anywhere on the Internet where you can see unbiased listing of the best coaches in the world and we believe that the verifiable recommendation process afforded through LinkedIn holds promise in helping the great coaches throughout the world be recognized and found.
There are any websites out there that attempt to convert the coaching client into the coach. There are many websites out there that propagate inaccurate -- and sometimes downright false -- information about coaches and the coaching field. There are websites out there that seek to make money -- either buy charging the coaching client to find a coach -- or by charging the coach to find a coaching client. This site does none of these.
This website is the external home for a professional group on LinkedIn called Top Recommended Coaches.
Profile pages (essentially mini-websites) are free for members of this group.
To be approved for this group your must meet three qualifications:
- 10+ recommendations for your current coaching practice on LinkedIn (note that this does not include recommendations you have received for other positions),
- The recommendations must be independent with no evidence of being traded (i.e., you have not recommended the person who recommended you),
- Each recommendation must be detailed and specific to you as a coach (generic recommendations that could apply to anyone will not be considered as part of the 10 required recommendations).
Please note that all account requests are verified. So before registering for an account, please make sure you are an approved member of Top Recommended Coaches on LinkedIn.
Once your account is approved, you will be able to complete a detailed profile, you will also be able to submit articles for publication to our site blog, Navigating the World of Coaching (coming soon).
We have endeavored to make sure each profile allows you to enter a broad array of information about yourself. including links to other coaching sites and social media. We, are sure that we haven't covered everything (and are equally sure that the Internet changes rapidly). Please contact us to let us know if site changes that we need to make. And take advantage of your Profile Notes to add missing information right away.
You will also see that there is a tab for you to copy recommendations from other sites to highlight here.
You are looking for a coach and the Internet is flooded with options. How do you separate the unskilled coaches from the good coaches from the great coaches?
This site will help you do that.
In order for a coach to get a listing on this site they need to have a specific number of recommendations on LinkedIn. Because you must be a member of LinkedIn to provide a recommendation, all LinkedIn recommendations are essentially verifiable.
To help you further sort through the options, coaches identify two coaching specialties. They choose between the following focus areas when building their profile:
- ADD - ADHD Coaching
- Addiction - Recovery Coaching
- Business Coaching
- Career Coaching
- Christian Coaching
- Entrepreneurship Coaching
- Executive Coaching
- Family Coaching
- Fitness Coaching
- Health and Wellness Coaching
- Holistic Coaching
- Leadership Coaching
- Life Coaching
- Money and Finance Coaching
- Performance Coaching
- Relationship Coaching
- Retirement Coaching
- Sales Coaching
- Spirituality Coaching
- Team Coaching
It's easy to get started on our website. Knowing some of the basics will help.
